About this Offer

With its natural geothermal heated pools, springs & the famous Blue Lagoon, it’s difficult to think of a better place for a relaxing Spa Break than Iceland and this Spa Break gives you that something a little bit special in the form of the Secret Lagoon.

Departing your choice of airport you will have a 4 night stay in the capital Reykjavik. You’ll stay in a 3* hotel with en-suite facilities convenient to all the attractions this wonderful city has to offer and a local Icelandic Breakfast is included each morning.

After checking into your hotel the rest of the day is yours to explore and get to know the wonderful city of Reykjavik.

The following day we pick you up in the late afternoon from your hotel and we’re heading for the wonderful Geothermal Baths at Laugarvatn Fontana.

Laugarvatn Fontana is a place where you come to relax and experience authentic Icelandic nature while relaxing in the warm geothermal pools and natural steam rooms. The baths vary in depth, size and temperature and the steam rooms that have been built over natural hot springs that have been used in this purpose since 1929. Fontana is located by a beautiful lake Laugarvatn and you can enjoy the spectacular views from the sauna or the pools.

After you’ve finished in the pools & saunas you’ll can enjoy a local buffet or hot soup with bread (not included). At Laugarvatn people still bake their bread in the hot sand by the lake, where trout is caught and smoked at a nearby farm. Both are simply a must try. In fact, in less than a half-an-hour drive away - in the town of Fludir - most of Iceland's domestic vegetables are grown in geothermal-heated greenhouses.

Leaving Laugarvatn Fontana with a nourished body and satisfied soul, you take a tour around to provide your senses with the show of a lifetime as you hopefully experience the Northern Lights dance, just for you. This tour depends on weather and sightings are not guaranteed.

The following day we head for the famous Blue Lagoon where you can relax and soak in the soothing, milky blue waters, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.

Fed by geothermal seawater from deep under the lava, the Blue Lagoon holds a staggering six million liters of milky blue seawater which is the equivalent of three Olympic size swimming pools! If you really want to pamper yourself, you can enjoy a range of luxurious massages, either in the Blue Lagoon itself or in their world class spa. Have a drink at the swim up bar, treat your skin with the complimentary white silica mud mask. You’re free to join any of the regular shuttles back to the capital.

The following day the Secret Lagoon tour is breathtaking, taking you on a wondrous journey through Iceland’s staggeringly raw beauty to a geothermal pool. Relax and unwind in the great outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of Iceland as you soak in a geothermal pool.

The Secret Lagoon is a spring-fed pool located near the charming village of Flúðir in South Iceland. Mineral-rich geothermal waters from nearby hot springs stay at a steady temperature of 38° to 40°C, making the Secret Lagoon’s water perfect for bathing and relaxation.

The Secret Lagoon, or Gamla laugin as it is referred to by locals, is part of the local culture and is keeping alive the unique and authentic experience of Icelandic open-air geothermal bathing. The Lagoon offers neat and clean locker rooms, showers and changing facilities, as well as a small bar and dining area.

Boardwalks and footpaths surround the pool enabling guests to explore the small hot springs and geothermal features in the immediate area. After a couple hours of enjoying the Secret Lagoon’s miraculous waters we return to Reykjavík, rejuvenated and refreshed.

This is a truly enjoyable tour, combining some of the best experiences Iceland has to offer; the awe-inspiring Northern lights and warm, relaxing open air bathing.

If you would like the tour based on a particular hotel we offer a wide range in our hotels section and we are of course happy to quote on any of these.

Transfers are not included in the price of the spa break. Some people prefer to hire a car or take a private transfer which we can arrange but the best way from the airport to your hotel in our opinion is the Flybus transfer from Keflavik airport to your hotel and back for just £39pp return.

Our prices are based on the cheapest departure date in any given month from the departure airport as stated and prices are subject to change according to availability.
