About this Offer

Our Glacier Adventure is a great way to get up close and personal with two of Iceland magnificent Glaciers as well as witnessing some of Iceland other wonderful attractions.

Departing the airport of your choice you can choose either a 3 or 4 night stay in the capital Reykjavik. You’ll stay in a 3* hotel with en-suite facilities convenient to all the attractions this wonderful city has to offer and a local Icelandic Breakfast is included each morning.

Depending on your arrival time you’ll join our Northern Lights Tour on either the first or second night of your stay and we will pick you up from your hotel a head out from the city, away from the bright city lights to the best locations the lights have been forecast to appear.

Our expert English speaking guide will explain on journey the science and superstition behind the Aurora Borealis and fingers crossed we witness the lights dance across the clear Icelandic skies.

The following day we take you on a tour that combines the widely popular Golden Circle tour with the adventure of a lifetime - a one hour snowmobile ride on Langjökull glacier, Iceland's second largest glacier.

First we stop at Þingvellir National Park which is known for its exceptional beauty and historical importance. Þingvellir is as well a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. The second stop is at the high-temperature geothermal area known as Geysir, with its numerous spouting hot springs. From there we drive to Langjökull, the drive up onto the Glacier to basecamp where we take a one hour exhilarating snowmobile tour on the vast white snowcap. On our way back to Reykjavík we stop by the stunning Gullfoss waterfall.

The following day your adventure continues after breakfast as we head south, where a little less than two hours drive from Reykjavík we find the Eyjafjallajökull glacier, and just a little further the Sólheimajökull glacier tongue extends down from Mýrdalsjökull, Iceland´s fourth largest glacier.

A glacier hike is a great way to experience Icelandic nature. We take an easy glacier walk on crampons up on to the ice field where a wonderland of ice sculptures, ridges and deep crevasses awaits discovery. During the hike you learn more about these disappearing giants. We will provide and teach you how to use basic glacier equipment for this tour.

On the way back to Reykjavik we make two stops, at the striking waterfalls Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss.

This tour is generally based staying at the Hotel Cabin, Hotel Island or similar hotel depending on availability, however if you would like the tour based on a particular hotel we offer a wide range in our hotels section and we are of course happy to quote on any of these.

Transfers are not included in the price of the tour. Some people prefer to hire a car or take a private transfer which we can arrange but the best way from the airport to your hotel in our opinion is the Flybus transfer from Keflavik airport to your hotel and back for just £39pp return.

Our prices are based on the cheapest departure date in any given month as stated and prices are subject to change according to availability.
