About this Offer

Departing your choice of airport you can choose either a 3 or 4 night stay in the capital Reykjavik. You’ll stay in a 3* hotel with en-suite facilities convenient to all the attractions this wonderful city has to offer and a local Icelandic Breakfast is included each morning.

The second day of your stay you’ll ge to explore a few of Iceland‘s most famous landmarks on Golden Circle as well as go on a search for the northern lights.

Begin the day after breakfast and will visit Geysir geothermal area, Gullfoss waterfall and Þingvellir National Park.

Geysir is the place from which all other geysers in the world get their name. The famous Geysir does not often erupt anymore but the smaller, but very impressive, Strokkur erupts every 4-8 minutes and shoots a column of water up to 40 metres up in the air.

Gullfoss waterfall is a part of the glacial river Hvítá which gets its water from Langjökull glacier, the second largest glacier in Iceland. The step-waterfall is quite the sight, and from many viewpoints it looks like the waterfall falls straight into an abyss, but in reality, it falls into a crevice which is 32 metres deep.

The last stop of the day is at Þingvellir which is known for being one of the very few places in the world where you can see the North-American and Eurasian tectonic plates above ground. The park is a UNESCO world heritage site.

We will arrive back in Reykjavík late afternoon and you will have a few hours to spare where you can relax and grab a bite to eat before you join our Northern Lights tour.

The three-hour long Northern Lights tour will take you out of the city for the best possible view of the lights.

The northern lights, also known as aurora borealis, are caused by the interaction of particles from the sun with the upper atmosphere near the North Pole.

The locations visited during the Northern Lights tour vary from day to day depending on weather conditions. Because this tour is weather dependent, sightings are not guaranteed. However, if you do not see any northern lights during your trip, you may join the next one free of charge.

The next day you’re in for The BIG Whale Experience as we go out to sea to see the live version, and then to the Whales of Iceland exhibition to see how big these cetaceans actually are!

On the Whale Watching tour we sail out to Faxaflói bay where we search for the common whales in the area, such as Humpback whales, Minke whales, White-beaked dolphins and Harbour porpoises plus a whole assortment of sea bird.

Our boats offer great comfort, a fantastic interior, large outside viewing decks and a safe family environment. The friendly guides, along with the captain and crew, point out where to spot the whales and give interesting information about the different kinds of whales and seabirds you can expect to see.

At Whales of Iceland, the largest whale exhibition in Europe all 23 species that can be found in the surrounding waters of Iceland are shown in real size, and you learn many interesting facts about the whales and their history.

And finally we’ll take you to the Blue Lagoon, one of the wonders of the world, during your visit in Iceland. Included in the comfort package is entrance to the Blue Lagoon, silica mud mask, use of a towel and 1st drink of your choice.

Fed by geothermal seawater from deep under the lava, the Blue Lagoon holds a staggering six million litres of milky blue seawater which is the equivalent of three Olympic size swimming pools! If you really want to pamper yourself, you can enjoy a range of luxurious massages, either in the Blue Lagoon itself or in their world class spa. Have a drink at the swim up bar, treat your skin with the complimentary white silica mud mask. You’re free to join any of the regular shuttles back to the capital.

To get the most from this package we recommend the 4 day stay, however should you wish to book the 3 day package then the Blue Lagoon can be visited after the Whale watching or subject to flight times on arrival or departure.

If you would like the tour based on a particular hotel we offer a wide range in our hotels section and we are of course happy to quote on any of these.

Transfers are not included in the price as some people prefer to hire a car or take a private transfer which we can arrange but the best way from the airport to your hotel in our opinion is the Flybus transfer from Keflavik airport to your hotel and back for just £39pp return.

Our prices are based on the cheapest departure date in any given month from the departure airport as stated and prices are subject to change according to availability.

Flights are available from London Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton, Stansted, London City, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh & Belfast
